The Bend City Council unanimously adopts language for a Cottage Home Ordinance to be added to the City Code. The code allows for smaller, affordable housing communities that would have a more “park-like” setting. Councilors say that the new ordinance will stimulate building in the City, and make homes more affordable to many. The council is supplying staff to help the ordinance get though the proper channels, so it can be implemented sooner rather than later.
