Pringle Falls Drowning

Posted on Thursday, July 03, 2008 (PST)

A woman drowns in the Deschutes River after rafting over Pringle Falls at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Lisa Braughton of Silver Lake had been camping at Pringle Falls Campground. Her body was recovered about three-quarters of a mile downstream from the falls following an air and ground search. Her rafting companion, who managed to swim to safety, says they did not notice the warning signs that are posted along the approach to the falls.
