Camp Fire Central Oregon's presents: "Summer Kids Day Camp Enrichment Series".
Eight fabulous themed day camps held throughout the summer for kids entering K-5th grades, such as:
Move Your Body, Mad Scientist, How Does Your Garden Grow, Great Outdoors, Music Makers, Superheroes, Trashformations, & Wild Artist.
The first four camps will be held at Juniper Elementary and the last four at Bear Creek Elementary Schools.

Miles for Mothers 5K/10K/1 K Fun Run
Miles for Mothers is a 5K, 10K and Children’s Fun Run held on May 11 at 9:30 AM in American Legion Park in Redmond. All proceeds benefit mothers in crisis who are seeking services from WaterCup Counseling. Business sponsorships are currently available. 2013 WebCyclery Chainbreaker Mountain Bike Race
WebCyclery will again be the sole sponsor/promoter of the 16th Annual Cascade Chainbreaker Mountain Bike Race, which will be held in Bend on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00AM. The Chainbreaker, which features cross-country racing for riders of various skill levels, typically attracts more than 300 mountain bikers from Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Northern California. It will be one of the largest mountain bike races in Oregon this year and it will allow riders to experience some of Bend’s best springtime riding. The course is laid out on private timberland west of Bend is owned by Cascade Timberlands. The Deschutes Land Trust continues working to purchase this property and create a community forest so that it remains publicly accessible while still being protected from development. Access to the race and pre-ride is provided through the cooperation of Cascade Timberlands and the Deschutes Land Trust and will allow contestants to experience some of the rustic remains of early 1900’s logging camps and tremendous Central Oregon scenery and terrain. Competitors can register online at OBRA’s website (www.obra.org) by May 8th for $35 + a small OBRA service charge and $15 for Juniors 18 & under + a small OBRA service charge. Tandem teams are $45 + a small OBRA service charge for online registration. For registrations after May 10th, there will be a $5 late fee. Packet pickup will be Friday, May 10th between 5-8PM at WebCyclery (550 SW Industrial Way, Ste 150). Registrations can also be mailed and postmarked by May 6th to WebCyclery at 550 SW Industrial Way, Ste 150, Bend, OR 97702.
A portion of each registration fee will be donated to Central Oregon Trail Alliance. The Central Oregon Trail Alliance is dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable, multi-use trails and to preserve access for mountain bikers through advocacy, education and promoting responsible trail use.
