UPDATE: Arrest Made in Connection with North Portland School Shooting

Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Teams booked 22-year-old Lonzo Murphy in jail this morning, after arresting him in connection with yesterday's shooting at Rosemary Anderson High School.

 

Murphy's vehicle was stopped at about 1:30 a.m. this morning, and police officers found a handgun in his car.

 

He is currently being held on charges of Parole Violation at Multnomah County Jail, as the investigation into the shooting continues.

Yesterday, three students were shot outside of Rosemary Anderson High School in Portland, and ran inside for help.

 

They were identified as 20-year-old David Joshua Jackson-Liday, 17-year-old Labraye Quavon Franklin, and 16-year-old Taylor Michelle Zimmers.

 

The shooter ran from the scene, and the high school immediately went into lockdown.

 

The victims were taken to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center, and both Jackson-Liday and Franklen are now in fair condition.

 

Zimmers remains in critical condition.

 

Portland Police are still searching for more information regarding the shooting.

 

Sgt. Pete Simpson said in a press conference, the shooting could be gang related.  

 

Rosemary Anderson High School is an alternative school for at-risk youths, with a student body of 130.
