The NBA world is mourning the loss of former Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerome Kersey.  Multiple outlets are reporting Kersey died suddenly on Wednesday at the age of 52.  Kersey was drafted in the second round by Portland in 1984.  He spent his first 11 seasons with the Blazers, helping them reach the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992.  Kersey averaged 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds over his 17-year career with several clubs.  He retired from the NBA in 2001.

In October, Kersey joined KBND's Morning News during a Central Oregon Blazers event.

Most recently, Kersey served as Director of Alumni Relations for the team.
