Republican candidate Knute Buehler and Democratic candidate Craig Wilhelm actually agreed on many subjects.

They both want to diversify the economy and guide smart growth in the area.  They also both support expanding OSU Cascades to a four year university.

In their closing staetments, both made the argument they have the leadership skills for the job.

"Buehler:  I'm a fixer not a partisan fighter.  If you're looking for a noise maker, I'm not that kind of guy.  But after 12 years of having a Doctor as Governor, I think it's time for a doctor in the house.  Wilhelm:  I lead in combat through the toughest of times.  I know how to deal with limited resources.  I can bring folks together for a common good. I took care of 200 soldiers and I could do that here. I'll take care of you."

Dr. Buehler is an orthopedic surgeon and Craig Wilhelm was a decorated veteran in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and currently runs a recycling business.
