TRUSTEES APPROVE MMC UPGRADE
(Harlan) The board of Trustees approved a construction Project at the Myrtue Medical Center earlier this week.
The project involves two new rooms in the Radiology Department. All the equipment in the two rooms will be switched to Digital Radiology, a new technology in diagnostic imaging. The board also approved the purchase of new equipment to help surgeries, and for items required for a laboratory-remodeling project.
Meanwhile, the hospital construction project continues to progress. Construction crews are currently working on the southwest parking lot, which should be completed in the next couple of weeks. The new laboratory is under construction in the basement.
