Bend Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash

BEND, OR --  A Bend woman was critically injured while crossing NE Revere in Bend, Saturday evening. According to Bend Police, 49-year-old Pamela James was wearing dark clothing and was not using a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car at about 6:30 p.m.

Lt. Nick Parker says the driver, 45-year-old Michael Jones of Bend, is cooperating with the investigation, and no charges have been filed. "Some of the things that play into account are vehicle movements, whether there was speed involved intoxicants. As well as with the pedestrian -- whether the pedestrian was wearing appropriate clothing, crossing in the appropriate area, and intoxicants as well. Some of those things that could impair either the pedestrian or the driver." The investigation is ongoing.
