BEND, OR -- Central Oregon Community College has released the name of its top pick for President. The Board of directors met again Thursday, and identified Dr. Anthony (Tony) Miksa as their first choice. A team plans to visit McHenry County College in Illinois next week to talk with Dr. Miksa's colleagues.
Miksa was one of four finalists in the running for COCC president who visited Central Oregon and interviewed last month. Following next week's site visit, the board expects to begin negotiations. Assuming both those steps are successful, a formal announcement on the next COCC president is anticipated later this month.
