Fallen Trees Close Pioneer Park

BEND, OR -- Due to a number of fallen trees, Bend Park and Recreation District has closed Pioneer Park in Northwest Bend, effective immediately.  “We ask that park patrons use caution during this storm and avoid areas with large trees. During high winds, it is not uncommon for trees and limbs to come down in parks and on trails,” said Pat Erwert, Park Services Director, in a press release.

Erwert said other parks could also close without notice due to current weather conditions and dangerous circumstances.  Pioneer Park will reopen once gusts subside and the fallen trees and debris can be removed.
