Two Local Schools Introduce Principal Candidates

BEND, OR -- The Bend-La Pine School district is hosting forums, for the community to meet finalists for two elementary principal positions. Julianne Repman with the district says La Pine elementary hosted a forum Monday night, William E. Miller Elementary will hold a meet and greet Wednesday evening.  "Community forums are the last step of a day-long process where we are introducing candidates for the principal positions at La Pine Elementary School and William E. Miller Elementary School.  We're asking the community if they coudl provide input."

Each school has three finalists vying for the job. Repman tells KBND the district offers the chance for everyone to get involved in the process. "These forums are generally attended by staff of the buildings, parents and community members. So, it really is an opportunity to get out there, meet the finalists, find out a little bit more about their style and what they see the future of their elementary schools looking like - what they can bring."

Wednesday's meeting at Miller begins at 5 p.m. in the school library.  Click HERE to read about each of the candidates.
