BEND, OR -- The man accused of killing a Bend woman on the COCC campus last month is scheduled to be arraigned in Deschutes County Circuit Court at 4 p.m. Thursday. Edwin Lara was booked at the jail in Bend early Wednesday morning on four counts of Aggravated Murder.
The 31-year-old Redmond man is accused of killing 23-year-old Kaylee Sawyer on July 24. He waived extradition last week and was transferred back to Oregon from California, where he’s accused of assault, carjacking and other crimes allegedly committed while on the run.
