State Representative Jason Conger has raised about $100,000 in his bid to keep his District 54 seat.  His opponent, challenger Nathan Hovekamp has brought in about $20,000.  Conger says he's encouraged by the fundraising so far, and that depending on the circumstances, it can cost a lot of money to stay in office or challenge a seat.  "I think in the last couple of races in District 54, the amount of money spent by both candidates is somewhere between $700,000 and $1 million in the entire campaign.”  Last September,  Hovekamp announced that he'd take on Conger.  The two are scheduled for a live debate here on 1110KBND on July 31^st.
