REDMOND, OR -- A home northwest of Redmond suffered about $10,000 in damage when a bar-b-q malfunctioned and started a fire on the deck.
Redmond firefighters got the call about 6:20 Monday morning. The closest crew was a brush engine responding to a report of a tree on fire southwest of town. They diverted to the NW 67th Avenue home and quickly knocked down the fire before it entered the house.
a Central Electric Co-op power pole was also involved and damaged by flames. There were no injuries.
