BEND, OR -- A Burns woman wanted for questioning in connection with a suspicious death is now in the Deschutes County Jail. The Harney County Major Crimes Team is investigating the death of 59-year-old Albert Deiter, who was found October 17. They say 53-year-old Shelly Hubeek is a person of interest in the case; she was booked into the jail in Bend this week, for one count of theft.
Investigators are looking for information on her activities between October 13 and her arrest on Sunday, October 22. Anyone with information on her whereabouts during that time, or the death of Albert Deiter is asked to call Harney County Dispatch at 541-573-6028.
