BEND, OR -- Deschutes National Forest officials expect firefighters to ignite another prescribed burn Monday, west of Bend, if conditions remain favorable. They burned about 150 acres south of Cascade Lakes Highway, Sunday.
Monday, they’re scheduled to burn a 77-acre unit on the north side of Skyliners Road. Tuesday, they plan to light another 109 acres north of the Rimrock Trailhead on the north side of Cascade Lakes Highway. Smoke will likely be seen from the operations, but no road closures are anticipated.
