LA PINE, OR -- La Pine Rural Fire Protection District responded to a strcuture fire at a single family home on the 16-thousand block of Jacinto Road about 5-40 Sunday morning. Crews arrived to find active fire on the front porch extending to the exterior walls and roof. All occupants had already evacuated the home and smoke alarms were sounding. Crews got a quick knock down of the fire and began checking the interior and attic for extension. The fire was held to the exterior with minimal extension into the attic space. An unofficial investigation indicated the likely cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
