BEND, OR -- Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity is celebrating its 30th year and 149th house built. Director of Development Robin Cooper Engle encourages local individuals and groups to get involved, as Bend LaPine Schools leadership recently did. With Habitat’s homeownership program, families and individuals are required to volunteer hundreds of hours as the down payment for the home, and participate in a matched savings program for the closing costs.
