Redmond Fire Crews Use Jaws Of Life To Free Trapped Driver

TERREBONNE, OR -- Redmond Fire and Rescue had to use a Jaws Of Life tool to free the driver of a street sweeper after he became trapped following a collision. The incident occurred on Highway 97 in Terrebonne about 3-30 yesterday afternoon. The sweeper hit the rear of a full size Dodge pickup causing heavy damage to the cab of the sweeper. Redmond Fire crews worked for 20 minutes to get the driver out. He was pinned into the seat and his lower extremities were wrapped into the pedals and the steering column. The driver was transported to Saint Charles Redmond with possible internal injuries and fractures.
