BEND, OR -- This Saturday, the Central Oregon Suicide Prevention Awareness Alliance is hosting an event for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide. The event, which falls on International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, will include a screening of a documentary produced by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention that offers messages of growth, resilience and connection. Prevention Coordinator Cassidy Brewin says there are events being hosted around the world on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The Central Oregon Suicide Prevention Alliance has been hosting a local event for the past five years.
