PRINEVILLE, OR -- The Crook County Sheriff is conducting a death investigation following a fatal fire in a travel trailer on Beech Lane Sunday morning. Deputies were headed to the fire when they learned there had also been an explosion. Deputies arrived and determined a person died in the fire. The victim’s name and the cause of death has not been released pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire and the explosion.
