PRINEVILLE, OR -- A family-owned garbage disposal company in Prineville has been sold. Republic Services bought Prineville Disposal after the sale was approved by the City of Prineville. Republic Services bought Bend Garbage and Recycling last year. The Bulletin reports Prineville Disposal was owned for 43 years by Gary and Sally Goodman and later their daughter and husband, Emily and Steve Holliday. The franchise agreement awarded to Republic means any changes to rates or collections has to be approved by the city of Prineville.
