Bend Will Be First Site Of Revenue Department CAT Meetings

BEND, OR-- The Oregon Department of Revenue is holding 13 public meetings in March to provide businesses with information about the new Corporate Activity Tax known as CAT. The first meeting is scheduled to be held in Bend on Monday March 1st at Central Oregon Community College from 6-to-730 p.m. The Corporate Activity Tax imposes a point-57-per cent tax on gross receipts greater than 1-million dollars after subtractions. The meetings will give business taxpayers an opportunity to comment on temporary rules before they become permanent in April.
