Wyden Promotes DASH Act To Fight Homelessness

BEND, OR -- Oregon Senator Ron Wyden says homelessness here and across the nation must be addressed. On a visit to Central Oregon, Wyden discussed a bill he calls the DASH Act. DASH stands for Decent-Affordable-Safe-Housing for all Act. Wyden says his goal is to get 1-billion dollars committed to the DASH Act. Asked where the money will come from, Wyden says he’s looking at taking back some of the money given to the nation’s wealthiest people under the Trump Tax cuts. He says the DASH Act would divide the 1-billion dollars among all 50-states and give them three years and the flexibility to address the homeless issue.
