BEND, OR -- Bend’s Knute Buehler is campaigning for the Republican party nomination for the 2nd Congressional District. Buehler says he’s a Trump supporter and believes the tax cuts have reduced poverty. Buehler says he is pro-choice but not pro-abortion. He says in the legislature he voted against expansion of public funding of abortion. Buehler also says he’s a staunch supporter of gun rights and the 2nd Amendment and voted against expanded background checks and assault weapon bans.
