Oregon Revenue Department Holds First CAT Meeting (In Bend Monday Night

BEND, OR -- The Oregon Department of Revenue launches a 13-city tour Monday in Bend to educate people about the Corporate Activity Tax. Department of Revenue spokesman Robin Maxey says the idea is to educate people about what the CAT tax is and how it works. He says the CAT Tax return has to be filed by businesses that reach 1-million dollars in commercial activity. However, the first 1-million dollars is exempt so the actual tax is paid only on whatever amount is over 1-million dollars. The meeting is in Science 109 from 6-to-7:30 p.m. at COCC, Monday March 2nd.
