Sinkhole Forces Closure Of Oregon 219 Near St. Paul

(St. Paul, OR)  --  A section of Oregon 219 in Marion County is closed in both directions because of a sinkhole that collapsed part of the road.  State transportation officials say the collapse happened yesterday just east of St. Paul.  Northbound traffic is being detoured to French Prairie Road to McKay Road and back to 219, while southbound traffic is being re-directed to River Road in St. Paul, then to Davidson Road and back to 219.  Officials say 219 will be closed indefinitely while the damage is assessed and repairs are made.
