(Portland, OR)  --  Officials say the Rowena wildfire in the Columbia Gorge is now 65-percent contained.  The Wasco County Sheriff's Office says more than 600 people are battling the fire, which has scorched about five square miles since it started last Tuesday.  Evacuation orders have been lifted for more than 700 residences.  Firefighters continue to establish fire lines in an effort to further contain the wildfire.

  • Purcell Boulevard Northbound lane between Neff Road and Full Moon Drive (West side of the hospital) is closed until December 20th.

 

  • Nels Anderson Road between Nels Anderson Place and Brandis Court, single northbound shoulder closure will be in effect, two-way traffic to be maintained. Project completion expected December 2017.
