(Longview, WA)  --  A 14-year-old boy is being treated for a gunshot wound to the face after he and a friend were handling a gun at a home in Longview.  The teen is being treated at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.  The boy's 15-year-old friend, who lives at the home where the shooting happened, told police the gun went off yesterday as he was placing it back in its safe.  There's no word on the condition of the 14-year-old.

  • Nels Anderson Road between Nels Anderson Place and Brandis Court, single northbound shoulder closure will be in effect, two-way traffic to be maintained. Project completion expected December 2017.
