(Portland, OR) -- Police say a protest that was staged in Portland, following a grand jury decision to not issue an indictment against a Ferguson, Missouri police officer, went peacefully. A small group gathered last night outside the Justice Center in downtown Portland, but no violence took place. The scene was different in Seattle, where protesters threw rocks and bottles at police and streamed onto Interstate 5 last night. The highway was cleared and reopened about a half-hour later.
