(Portland, OR)  --  State transportation officials say a woman traveling on I-84 in Portland was alone in her car when she went into labor yesterday.  The woman pulled over and called 911, believing she wouldn't make it to a hospital.  Traffic was stalled in the westbound lanes of the highway near Southeast Grand Avenue, as the woman was loaded onto an ambulance and taken to Providence Medical Center.  I-84 was clear by around 4:45 yesterday evening.
