(Portland, OR) -- A city audit says figures released regarding ridership aboard Portland streetcars were overstated by about 19 percent. The audit says the report, issued by Portland Streetcar Incorporated, also contained a false claim that nearly every vehicle arrived on time. "The Oregonian" reports that according to the audit, ridership from July 2013 through June 2014 was more than one-million passengers less than the five-point-six-million riders originally reported.
