(Jackson County, OR) -- Authorities say a man who was hiking to Arizona is a casualty of intense wind storms that swept through the Northwest yesterday. Officials say 40-year-old Phillip Crosby died in southern Oregon, shortly after the tree fell on his tent around 5:30 yesterday morning. Crosby and his 18-year-old son were camped about a mile from Mount Ashland, just north of the California line.
