(Salem, OR) -- The fourth term in office is underway for Governor John Kitzhaber. Kitzhaber, who was sworn in yesterday, is the first person to serve as Oregon's governor four times. His latest term is starting under controversy, following revelations last year that his fiancee, Cylvia Hayes, had previously married an Ethiopian teen to help him gain legal residency in the U.S. and that she and an ex-boyfriend bought land in Washington state with the intention of growing marijuana. Kitzhaber will have more Democratic allies in the Legislature than he did during his first three terms as governor.
