(Salem, OR) -- Governor John Kitzhaber's fiancee is being told to release emails from her personal accounts relating to state business to "The Oregonian." Under the state public-records law, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum has ordered Cylvia Hayes to turn over the emails. Rosenblum rejected Hayes' argument that she was an "honorary" first lady and was not duty-bound to produce the emails. Following the attorney general's order yesterday, Hayes has seven days to comply with The Oregonian's request or file suit to block the emails' release.
