(Salem, OR) -- Top Democrats and the state treasurer of Oregon are asking their governor to resign. Governor John Kitzhaber is the target of a criminal corruption probe into alleged conflict-of-interest. The investigation involves the role of his fiancee as an unpaid advisor to the governor and consulting contracts she currently holds. State Treasurer Ted Wheeler says Oregon deserves a governor who is fully focused on the duties of state, and Secretary of State Kate Brown says she's ready to step into the job should Kitzhaber step down.
