(Salem, OR) -- The office Kate Brown vacated to become Oregon's new governor is now being filled by her former deputy, Robert Taylor. "The Oregonian" reports Taylor will manage day-to-day operations in the Secretary of State's Office until Brown appoints a permanent successor. There's no word on when Brown will announce her permanent replacement. A spokesperson for the Secretary of State's Office says Taylor spent most of yesterday preparing for the office's annual budget presentation to the Legislature's Joint Ways and Means Committee.
