Oregon's New "Motor Voter" Bill Clears Final Passage

(Salem, OR)  --  The so-called "New Motor Voter Bill" is on its way to Governor Kate Brown's desk.  The measure, which could add another 300-thousand people to Oregon's voter rolls, received final legislative passage yesterday.  The law would use driver's license data from as far back as 2013 to sign up people to vote if they haven't registered already.  Those who opposed the bill said using driver's license information to register people to vote could open the door to identity theft and concerns regarding privacy.
