Kitzhaber Email "Leaker" Won't Face Criminal Charges

(Salem, OR)  --  Marion County authorities say the man who leaked former Governor John Kitzhaber's emails to the media won't face criminal charges.  Michael Rodgers, who's a state technology manager, anonymously leaked six-thousand of the then-governor's emails to "Willamette Week" in February.  The Marion County and Yamhill County district attorney's offices say while Rodgers violated the law, the totality of the circumstances in the case has led to the conclusion that justice would not be served by charging Rogers.  After the release of the emails, Kitzhaber resigned in the midst of an investigation of alleged influence-peddling.
