Recreational Marijuana Now Legal In Oregon

(Salem, OR)  --  Possession of an ounce of recreational marijuana for people age 21 and older is now legal in Oregon.  But buying and selling are currently still illegal in the state, as the first state-licensed retail marijuana shops won't open until October 2016.  Bringing in pot from neighboring Washington is illegal under federal law.  State officials are urging Oregonians to wait until October of next year to legally buy their marijuana.
