Court: Sentence For Woman Who Stole Lottery Tickets "Unreasonable"

(Chehalis, WA)  --  A Lewis County, Washington woman who admitted to stealing thousands of lottery tickets from the Toledo convenience store where she worked won't serve a four-year sentence.  A Washington appellate court reversed the sentence imposed on Katrina Bowen, saying it was "unreasonable."  The Lewis County Prosecutor asked for a sentence of 24 months after Bowen pleaded guilty to first-degree theft, but Superior Court Judge Richard Brosey sentenced Bowen to 48 months.  A re-sentencing hearing will be held, but the date hasn't been set.
