Haggen Looking To Close More Stores

(Bellingham, WA)  --  The troubled Haggen supermarket chain is looking to shrink its roster of stores even further.  "The Oregonian" reports three additional stores in Oregon and three in Washington are on the block, in addition to the 127 Haggen locations that are already up for sale or marked for closure.  The stores in Oregon are located in Eugene, Happy Valley and West Linn, and the Washington stores are in Burien, Federal Way and Puyallup.  The chain aims to reduce its inventory of stores to 31.
