(Portland, OR) -- TriMet officials say the transit agency didn't do a good job handling the situation in which some of its trains traveled through standing water during flooding on October 31st. TriMet Deputy General Manager Bob Nelson is pledging the agency to do a better job this weekend, when more heavy rains are forecast. In apologizing for the Halloween event, Nelson said agency rules and the order for trains to travel that day were in conflict. He says TriMet is in the process of revising its rules and procedures.
