(Vancouver, WA)  --  A man is facing multiple charges after he crashed his vehicle into an apartment building in Vancouver.  Authorities say 41-year-old Douglas Atkins fled Tuesday night when officers arrived at the scene of a reported assault on a woman.  Officials say Atkins led officers on a high-speed chase along Grand Boulevard and traveled off the roadway, going airborne and jumping two parked cars, then going down an embankment and hitting the apartment building.  Atkins, who's being treated at a hospital, is facing charges that include eluding police, fourth-degree assault and DUI.
