(Portland, OR) -- The three Mount Tabor reservoirs are now disconnected from Portland's water distribution system. The "Portland Tribune" reports the action fulfills a commitment made by the city to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to stop supplying open-reservoir water to Portlanders by the end of 2015. The Portland City Council has agreed to spend four-million-dollars over the next five years to restore the reservoirs to their original conditions.
