(Olympia, WA) -- Most Washington state employees are being instructed not to conduct any official travel to the state of Mississippi. Governor Jay Inslee announced the travel ban yesterday in response to Mississippi's new law that allows business owners to refuse service to gay, lesbian, and transgender customers for religious reasons. The governor says the ban will be in effect as long as Mississippi's law exists "in its current form." Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced a similar travel ban for city employees.
