(Spokane, WA)  --  A man who escaped from Washington's largest mental hospital and was later arrested in Spokane will remain in custody in that city.  A federal judge has decided that Anthony Garver will remain jailed in Spokane until his mental competence can be established.  Garver escaped last week from Western State Hospital in Lakewood and was apprehended later in the week in Spokane.  He was placed in the mental hospital after previously being found incompetent in State Court to stand trial for the murder of a Lake Stevens woman in 2013.
