(Undated) -- A new report from a personal-finance website says it costs at least 60-thousand-dollars to live comfortably each year in Portland. GoBankingRates.com says that's seven-thousand-dollars above the median annual household income in Portland. The formula used to figure the cost of living is based on a budget of 50-percent of earnings on necessary expenses, 30-percent on discretionary expenses and 20-percent on savings. The GoBankingRates.com report says it costs more than 87-thousand-dollars a year to live comfortably in New York City, and nearly 73-thousand a year to cover necessities, expenses and savings in Seattle.
