(Undated) -- Oregon is ranked as one of the best states to live in for people who are growing old. The website Caring.com looked at a variety of factors in compiling its ranking of the "Best and Worst States to grow old," including quality of healthcare and long-term care, support for seniors and affordability of senior care. Oregon came in fifth, trailing only Alaska, Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. Caring.com says West Virginia is the worst place in which to grow old because the state lacks quality of life and healthcare offerings for seniors.
