$1.6 million Awarded To Man Who Fell In St. Helens Safeway

(St. Helens, OR)  --  A man is being awarded one-point-six-million dollars in damages after he slipped and fell in a Safeway store in St. Helens.  A jury awarded the money to Christopher Armstrong-Stevenson, who underwent surgery after breaking his femur in the fall at the supermarket in December 2014.  The attorney representing Armstrong-Stevenson says his client had a rod put in his leg and had to undergo rehabilitation following the incident.  Attorney Greg Kafoury accused Safeway of trying to cover it up by destroying most of the store video that recorded the incident.  KPTV says it's awaiting a response from Safeway.
